Another item here is keep reaching out. This one is always interesting to me. Keep reaching out and like the double dial are in the same world. The reason I say that is, some people say, “I don’t want to be annoying.” Or, “I don’t want to be a pain in the ass.” My message to you folks is, “I want to be a pain in the ass, folks. I want to be annoying.” Because annoying people that are pains in the asses get things done. When you’re in sales, you want to be annoying, you want to be a pain in the ass because it will make you more money, because you need to reach people.

Guys, we live in a society that is perfectly appropriate to not return calls for weeks or months on end, and then when you reach the people they usually go, “I’m sorry, I haven’t got back to you. I just haven’t had a chance.” What do you do? “Okay, no problem.” Now you’re on the phone with them. Think about that. You’ve got to look at this stuff differently. You have to be aggressive and you want to continue to follow up. That’s why you keep reaching out for weeks, for months.

Our call plan of Lamacchia goes on 221 days from the first day of lead. I guarantee when I interview Sarah in a couple of weeks, she’s going to talk about how we get everybody on the phone. It might take us 221 days, but we get them on the phone eventually until they tell us either don’t call again, or yes, I’m ready to list my home. No reason not to do that. There’s no reason to not continue to follow up.
