2018 Goal Setting – Have You Started a Plan?

Hey, everybody. Happy Monday. I wanted to talk to you about goal-setting. Right now, I hope all of you are planning your 2018. That’s very, very important to do that. It’s a big part of what people should be doing in November and December. I want to help you get there. Anthony LaMacchia here.

I want to talk to you about how to get there. What are you going to do differently to change the outcome? What are you going to do differently to change the outcome? I sound like a broken record. Well, I’m doing it on purpose because that’s what I want you to be thinking about. It’s extremely, extremely important. Now, it’s easy to say, “Oh, I sold 10 homes next year I’m going to sell 20.” Well, if you do everything the same, you probably won’t because same equals same.

You might sell a few more homes just by default if you’re new in the business, and maybe you get into your second year or your third year fine. If you really want to make scalable jumps to your business, improvements to your business, there has to be a plan. What are you going to do differently? Are you’re going to advertise? Are you going to market more? Are you going to systematically set aside time every single day at least five days a week to prospect?

One day you do it in the morning, one day you do it in the afternoon. I don’t know, but I’m asking you because I want you to ask yourself. If you do the same thing, you’d get the same result. What are you going to add to your life? What disciplines are you going to add to your life so that you can get a better outcome? Again, whether that’s real estate or personal, what are you going to add to get a better outcome? Also, here’s another one.

What are you going to subtract? I got my little cheat sheet here. What are you going to subtract from your life? Because everybody is always talking about adding. Yes, if you sold 20 homes and you want to get to 40, of course, you’ve got to add some things, but what are you going to subtract? We’re going to be talking more in the weeks to come, this week with our company and more in the weeks to come.

Probably later this week I’ll do something on time management because time management and time wasting activities that realtors do is the single biggest reason realtors hit a ceiling and have trouble breaking through with their business. We’ll be talking about it more. Think about that as you’re planning. What are you going to do differently to change your outcome? Same equals same.
