Anthony Lamacchia: Change. Change. Change. People hate change. Me, I love change. I’m not scared of change. I see a change that’s necessary and I run at it full speed and hit it head-on.
Here we are December 28th. We got, what? The last Friday of the year, Monday. We’re going to work probably half day here at Lamacchia realty, some of the world will take the whole long weekend off which, there’s nothing wrong with that by the way. We should be spending some extra time with family and friends and enjoying the holidays.
But, by now, by December 28th, you should know what you are going to change for 2019 to create a better outcome for your life and for your business. What most people do is they think about and they talk about what they’re going to do to change; I’m going to do this, I’m going to do that, I’m going to get on a diet, I know I need to do this, I know I need to do that, but they don’t do it because they don’t like change.
There are also a ton of people who pride themselves on saying out loud, “I hate change. I hate change. I hate change.” No, I’m the opposite. I, Anthony LaMacchia, love change. I run it change. I hit change head-on.
So, I challenge you to accept change, run it change, hit it head-on so that you can make some adjustments here at the beginning of the year, hopefully, this week, and then start implementing next week; it’s a mental thing with the first of the year for a lot of people. I’ll tell you a little bit about what I’m doing here at our company this week.
Yesterday, we had a meeting with one of our departments, awesome group of people, super hard-working, and we talked about, “Hey, guys. We’re doing great. This is the best year we’ve had in this group but for us to go from here to here in 2019, we’re not going to do it at the rate we’re going so we’ve got to implement some changes.” I warned them of this last week and then yesterday, we went over the changes.
Luckily, I’m so fortunate to be with a great group of people that’s used to being around me and they were like, “You know what? Those are good changes.” I know a couple of them. In their minds, they’re probably like, “Meh. Okay.” But, guys, if you don’t change, everything stays the same; same equals same.
So, today I have another meeting with another department in the company where we’re doing good but we can do better. I’m going to talk to them about the same kinds of things. I don’t duck change. I don’t avoid change. You shouldn’t either. If you want to have tremendous results in 2019, you have to figure out what you have to change and then implement.
So, right now, in your mind, I guarantee three-quarters of you that are listening are saying, “Yes, I know. Well, there’s that thing I should do. I should do more of that or I should do less of this or whatever it may be.” Make more time for prospecting. Take some things out of your life. Remember the goal-setting videos that I had done weeks back where I talked about don’t always be so damn focused on putting things in your life? What can you take out to create more time?
So, whatever that change may be, if you know what it is, good for you. Think about it over the weekend. Think about how you’re going to implement. If you don’t know what it is, then you need to start thinking hard because, folks, if you want a different outcome in 2019 and you want it to be your greatest year ever, then you are going to have to make some changes.
That’s all guys. Thanks so much for all your support. Happy New Year if I don’t see you before the New Year and that’s all. Have a great day.
