Anthony: How stressed out are you right now? Not enough properties for your buyers, buyers have given you pressure, they can’t find things, it’s definitely a slow winter for the market because of the lack of inventory. Now, some of you are here that they can start slow, “I just put a listing on and sold in five minutes.” I understand whatever is listing is selling right away. If you’re working, any of the buyers you’re working with, it’s very slow because there’s not enough for them. In addition to that, the market is slower, homes listed was down in the month of January, homes pending were down in the month of January because there’s not enough listings and the snows making it worse.

I’m here to tell you, it’s going to get better. Don’t get fooled into thinking, don’t let negative thoughts take you over and make you think that it’s going to stay like this and this is going to somehow be some bad year in real estate. It’s not going to happen. I’m speaking more specifically about Massachusetts, but I want to be clear with everybody in the country because I know that the market is in a bit of a weird spot right now. It’s not going to say like this. People will list their homes in droves. Once we get into March, especially up here in Massachusetts and northern states, they will list their homes. Will it be as much as two years ago?

I don’t think we’re quite there yet, but as the pandemic wears off, the vaccine gets in place, the snow stops, you’re going to see dramatically more listings. Once you get into May, June, July, even more. Then, you’ll see a tremendous amount of homes listed by the time we get to summer and we’ll beat years past. We’ve got about another 30 tough days in front of us, especially the next two weeks, where there’s a lack of inventory, lack of things being listed. Then, you get two weeks, you’re going to see it get better. You get to April, you’re going to see it get a lot better. We get close to June, dramatically better. For just one year buyers explain to them that things will be okay.

Remember, you’re the doctor, they’re the patient. You can’t be getting nervous and getting yourself all psyched out because you’ll give off that aura to your buyers. Yes, I’m driving, heading to Ski country for a few days. My son Mason is filming. That’s all. Don’t worry, we are going to see the biggest year since 2005 for overall home sales, I guarantee it. Thanks, everybody.
