Frustrated!? It’s A Tricky Time Right Now With SO Little Inventory

Anthony: Frustrated? I know it’s a tricky time right now, I talked to you all about this last Sunday. You get buyers that are breathing down your neck, they can’t find properties. They make offers on properties. They’re getting beat out. We’re hearing stories of 40, 50, 60 offers, it’s insanity right now. I was actually just looking at housing inventory. Massachusetts is now below 6000. I looked at South Florida early this morning. I want to say it was Miami Dade County 55% less inventory than a year ago. This whole situation is nuts.

What are we going to do about it? Were the realtors were the leaders. Okay. Remember what I said last week. If you show frustration and you show nervousness, your clients are going to show it even more. You need to educate them, you need to show them what’s going on. Show them on market snapshots, explain to them how every single March like clockwork properties come on the market and inventory goes up. Last year got interrupted because of the virus. That’s obviously not going to happen this year.

There’s some fears out there lurking among clients, they’re worried about the Coronavirus, they’re worried about their safety, they’re extremely worried about where they’re going to move to. We realtors need to come together, and we need to work together like never before. Communicating like never before, making buyer clients comfortable, seller clients comfortable so that they understand that they can take a step and put their home on the market. That’s what we all need to be doing right now.

I’ll be talking directly to sellers, indirectly to buyers. Now you all know, I don’t normally mention that company name here on this page at all. Last year, when the virus was at its peak, I did it a few times, and I invited you many over to watch and a lot of you told me that you enjoyed the segments.

Well, now I’m only doing the monthly, the next one is going to be Monday at three o’clock. I recommend that you attend if you’re having some nervousness or some anxiety about how to explain this to clients, or if you want to rip it off and send it to your clients say, “Hey, look at what this guy’s explaining.” That’s for you local realtors, oh, that’s competitive. He’s trying to take business, Okay, you want to see it that way, then don’t share it. When you share things from third parties, they often have bigger impacts because people view us all as realtors as salespeople. If you go on our website, we have all different kinds of backlinks to blogs and videos of other realtors and other folks around the country to make points.

Again, we’re going to get through this by working together, better than ever, communicating better than ever, and communicating with your clients. Educating your clients I should say. Communication between buyers agents, and listing agents, and educating your clients so that they understand what’s going on.
