In order to stand out, you need to be able to prove what sets you apart from other real estate agents. Is it your personality? Top-notch customer service? Ability to personally connect with your clients? Whatever you find that makes you different, make sure to market that and shout it from the rooftops! 

Something else that can make you stand out is the ability to create custom-made experiences for your clients. You want your client to know that you are tuned into their specific needs and will provide them with exactly what they’re looking for. If you are always a step ahead of them and provide them with an amazing experience there is no doubt they will be back again as well as not hesitate to refer others to you. 

2. Host events for your clients 

Want to build loyal clients within your business? Spend time with them and show them how personable you can be! You can put on a seminar and share some valuable real estate information or you can host a client appreciation event. Whatever the occasion, spending time with your clients in these ways will make a fantastic impression as it shows you’re willing to put in the time and effort to connect with them. 

3. Don’t be afraid to follow up with clients 

Even after a deal is closed, continue to build a connection with your clients. If you see they made a change to their home’s exterior, give them a call and tell them how great it looks! Or maybe you see an article about them accomplishing something within their life or career, send them a text to congratulate them. By popping in and keeping in touch every so often, you’ll keep yourself fresh in their minds, and if they or someone they know needs a realtor your name will be the first to come to mind. 

4. Be responsive and reliable

Being responsive and reliable as a real estate agent is KEY. It’s often frustrating to play the waiting game when someone hasn’t responded to an email or returned your call. By being timely and diligent when responding to clients you will build their trust and prove yourself reliable, and who doesn’t love working with reliable people?!

However, don’t feel like you need to be available 24/7. Instead, establish guidelines so your clients know when they can expect to hear back from you. Clients will always respect your time if they know they can rely on you and that you’ll be in touch as soon as you can.
